1995- Sports is back in business on Orlando radio. 540 AM (WWZN) - or ''540
The Team'' - signed on Monday from the Citrus Bowl after a weekend of loopy
sports jokes, song parodies and jingles. Beginning with and in the
mornings, it's a whole new ballgame. Former WGTO personalities were left looking
for new jobs along with most of the seven staff members. Marc Daniels moved over
from 740 AM (WWNZ) to take over afternoons at The Team, and he will be replaced
on the news station by syndicated talker Gil Gross. . . . There was one survivor
of the 540 AM raid: Paxson picked up Let's Talk Access, the disability issues
talk show, for 740 AM (WWNZ). The six-month-old show will be airing from 10-11
a.m. Sundays beginning this weekend.
