WFIT In The News
On Tuesday, 9/11/2007, there was a construction accident on Country Club Drive and WFIT was flooded with three inches of diluted  sewage. The entire facility including both studios were affected and the clean up is a daunting process. Some of the studio equipment was damaged and no one could enter the building until they received the proper certification of safety from an industrial hygienist. The hygienist has given clearance for a minimal amount of access to the studio but all night time and weekend DJ's are prohibited from entering the studios for safety reasons.

WFIT Fined    12-21-10
Florida Institute of Technology has been fined $1,500 by the FCC for a late license renewal application for WFIT-FM 89.5. FTU filed the paperwork after the deadline but before its license expired. Management appealed unsuccessfully by stating the fine would "deplete valuable resources that could be allocated to community education and information services".
