History Of WTSM
Root Communications purchased  WTSM-FM which it has leased since the fall of 1996 from businesswoman Gloria Byrd.
The purchase gave Root complete control of WTSM-FM, which goes by the nickname of "SUN 95.7". Although the station's license technically is based in Ormond-by-the-Sea, the FM outlet operates from the studio of its AM sister station, WNDB in Daytona Beach and uses a 313-foot broadcast tower in Holly Hill. With 25,000 watts of power it reaches most of Volusia and Flagler counties.
