WEKJ-FM 99.9, licensed to Homosassa, Florida, began as that community’s second broadcast service, with regular broadcasts commencing in 2005 on 103.1. Homosassa is located approximately 9 miles South of Crystal River and approximately 20 miles North of Spring Hill, situated in the far western end of Citrus County near the Gulf of Mexico. WEKJ is owned by the Christian Radio Network, Inc, headed by Shawnee Williams. Originally planned to simulcast programming with WCFQ-FM 100.1, Inverness, the station broadcasts a variety of religious and Christian programming to the Southwestern portion of Citrus County, which includes South Crystal River, Lecanto, and Weeki Wachee Springs located in Western Hernando County on Florida‘s Gulf Coast.
 
March 2007-WEKJ-FM moves from 103.9 to 99.9 then to 96.7
