Bob was kind enough to fill in some info about WHOO-AM 990 during the 70's and 80"s. In a very informative email Bob tells us;  "... I came to WHOO as one of the "Sunshine Men" in June of 1974 as the 6PM to midnight jock. I worked under General Manager Bob Johnson, followed by Bill Stakelin, then Max Rein.  My first program Director was Clay Daniels "CD the PD".  About two years later it was Mike Burger,  then Bucks Braun who was succeeded by Bob Grayson.  About two years later, in 1976 I was shifted to afternoon drive (3-6) and was promoted to Music Director.  My news anchor in PM drive was Alan Spector,  who today, is the morning sidekick for John Boy & Billy on
WHTQ 96.5
.  We did weekly promotions at "Sullivan's" (now "Cowboys" on the Trail) and then later at "Images" on west 50 at Pine Hills road.  In 1979 I decided to make some real money so I went into the sales department at WHOO AM & FM.  By this time WHOO-FM 96.5 had switched from Beautiful Music to Country.  I relinquished my afternoon drive shift to "Large" Larry English and went on to become quite successful in the sales end until several management and format changes in 1988.  At that time General Manager Max Rein bought Rosemont Country Club and he hired me as General Manager there.  For the past ten years I have been in the Production department at "K-92 FM" (WWKA-FM 92.3), WDBO-AM 580 and "Star 94.5" (WCFB-FM 94.5).  I also host and produce several "Ask the Experts" talk shows on WDBO each Saturday morning from 6 a.m. till noon.
In 2004 Bob left WDBO and is producing programs for WFLF-AM 540
Besides producing duties for Bud Hedinger Live on "540 WFLA" Monday thru Friday, 3-6 pm, Bob also is Host of the new home improvement show "The Home Rangers" from 9 to 11 am every Saturday.  On Saturday afternoons he also produces "Justice for All" with attorney Mark Nation from 1PM-2PM  and "Digital Nation" with computer guru Tim Taylor of TaylorWorks from 2PM-3PM.  He can also be heard on "4X Made Easy", The Robert Allen Institute", "Optionetics" and "WizeTrade" TV infomercials aired frequently in Central Florida.
Bob has joined the firm of HB Production Group, doing production and voiceover work. Check it out at; www.hbproductiongroup.com
