Carole was the news reader with
Jim Turner on WDBO-AM
580 in afternoon drive after her program on the old Channel 35, WSWB in the early '70s concluded with the station going off the air. Carole would go on to become the first female news anchor in Central Florida at WFTV channel 9. She would move to WCPX channel 6, in Orlando.
When her contract ran out at channel 6, WCPX, she decided to opened her own consulting business. Carole would leave the consulting business and return to WFTV Channel 9 for a short stint. Carole would return to radio once again with an afternoon show on 740, WKIS. Carole would leave Orlando for Seattle on KVI. Today, Carole teaches writing at Daytona Beach Community College and writes the My Word column
in the Orlando Sentinel as well as occasionally hosting shows on
WMFE-FM 90.7.
Oct 2006-Carole is returning to local radio.

Carole Nelson" will air Sundays from 2 PM to 3 PM on WMEL-AM
