Alex Diaz  Biography
WXXL

Alex was born in Manhattan, New York. His radio career began at "Star 95.5" WOVV-FM 95.5 in West Palm Beach. In 1995 Alex moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida. He joined WXXL-FM 106.7 first as  Alex the Intern, then as the 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. personality. After earning his Bachelor's Degree from the UCF,  he decided to spread his wings and took a job at WZYP-FM 104.3 in Huntsville, Alabama working as the Music Director/Night Jock. In 2000 Alex received a phone call inviting him back to XL 106.7. Alex was the winner in the "Ugly Betty, a Face Made for Radio Deejay Contest."  Alex beat out contestants from 22 radio stations across the country to win a trip to Hollywood and a visit to the set of "Ugly Betty." Alex lives in Winter Park with my fiancé Dawn and pooch Athena.
