After stunting as "Cool Oldies 102.5" for a couple of days, Central Florida Educational Foundation, Inc. has decided to add a Spanish Christian format to their portfolio of stations-La Z 102.5. W273CA was being leased by iHeart Media and in 2011 they were broadcasting a smooth jazz format calling itself WLOQ-FM 102.5.

Mark Logas In For Bud Hedinger     10-7-18
Mark Logas will be substituting for Bud Hedinger on "Good Morning Orlando" on WFLF-93.1-FM/AM540 October 8 through October 15. Mark will share what it was like as a college professor who teaches government to watch Senator Susan Collins school Americans about our Constitution. Guests who will be stopping by the “50,000 Watt Front Porch” throughout the week will include investigative journalist James O’Keefe, Brandon Tatum, a Black former police officer  and Director of Urban Engagement who will detail how Democrats are losing many Black voters, Roger Gannam from Liberty Counsel with new cases of religious persecution against Christians, and former AG and Congressional House Manager Bill McCollum who will weigh in on the next move Democrats might take against Brett Kavanaugh. Mark has also asked the White House Press Office to invite President Trump to call in during his visit to Orlando on Monday as well. Listeners are always welcome to call in and share their opinions on 93.1FM WFLA.

Sandra Carrasquillo was honored with the Lifetime Hispanic Achiever's Award at the Hispanic Achievers Heritage Month celebration in Orlando for her significant contributions to the Central Florida Hispanic community. Carrasquillo is the morning co-host of the new Accion 97.9 FM (WRSO-AM 810), network anchor of Spanish language newscasts on the statewide FNN Hispana service and host of the weekly statewide news and public affairs program "Florida Exclusivo", which is heard on 24 radio stations throughout Florida.

Former, Howard Stern show cast member KC Armstrong will be heard in Orlando. The “World’s Most Amazing People with KC Armstrong” is a daily, one-hour show, will be heard on WOTW-HD2, “BUD 94.1” between 7PM-8PM. The show will be syndicated by JVC Media.

Sunday Night Vinyl Returns

A program that ran On WTKS-FM 104.1 for 15 years, will return.
"Sunday Night Vinyl" returns with host
Erik Dennison. The program aired from 1995 until 2010. The show returns on Sunday, Oct. 28, from 7PM-10PM.

UCF And WYGM Renew Partnership     10-29-18
iHeartMedia/Orlando and University of Central Florida Athletics have extended their partnership to keep WYGM-AM 740/96.9 FM "The Game" as the flagship station for the UCF Knights' radio broadcasts. The new three-year deal begins with the 2019-20 school year and runs through 2021-22. Next year will mark the 25th consecutive year of Knights' athletics on The Game. Under the new agreement, UCF Football and UCF Men's Basketball will take precedence over any other live event on the two outlets.

Venus To Be Topic Of Next  ERAU Speaker Series    10-29-18
Following the  popularity of both “The Jupiter Experience” in 2017 and “The Mars Experience” in 2016, the ERAU Speaker Series moves onto the planet Venus with the words, music and images of this mysterious planet.  Come with your questions during a fascinating Q&A session with our panel of experts. Doors open at 6PM in the Gale Lemerand auditorium, in the Willie Miller Instructional Center on Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach.

Saga Purchases Four Gainesville/Ocala Stations     10-30-18
Saga Communications, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of WOGK-FM 93.7, WNDT-FM 92.5, WNDD-FM 95.5, and WNDN-FM 107.9, from Ocala Broadcasting Corporation, LLC.  All the stations serve the Gainesville-Ocala, Florida radio market. The price was $9.3 million.
