Congratulations 6-15-23 The Museum of Broadcast Communications announced today the selection of the Radio Hall of Fame 2023 nominees. Included are Johnny Magic of WXXL-FM 106.7. Also on the list of nominees is Chris "Mad Dog" Russo who got his true start at WKIS-AM 740 in 1984. Voting for inductees begins Tuesday, June 22nd and runs through July 8th. The top six vote recipients will gain induction into the Radio Hall of Fame. |

Tony Castro Passes 6-23-23 From Leo Vargas: Tony Castro, who worked at WBVL "Latino" 99.7 FM, as well as WKIE "Intima" 92.7 FM/93.9 FM passed away on June 22. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 27 from 5pm - 8pm at the San Juan Funeral Home, located at 3189 S. John Young Pkwy Kissimmee, FL 34746. Followed by a memorial service at Nazareth Church on Wednesday the 28th at 10am. 3501 Lions Ct Kissimmee, FL 34744. Floral arrangements are welcome. |
