Congrats To WUCF 6-9-14 WUCF-FM 89.9, was the nation's highest rated full-time public jazz radio station. According to the most recent winter Nielsen Audio ratings (for non PPM stations), WUCF topped popular jazz stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and many other markets. WUCF, currently celebrating its 35th year on the air, is a listener-supported service of the University of Central Florida. WUCF broadcasts a 24-hour schedule of jazz music and other non-commercial programming from studios on the UCF campus. |

Cox Launches X107.3 Orlando’s New Alternative 6-19-14 Cox Media Group has launched a new Alternative format in the Orlando Market located at WCFB-FM-HD2 107.3 . This new station, which launched today at noon will feature 10,000 songs commercial free. The target audience is adults 18-34 and features today’s hottest Alternative artists such as Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Bastille, Black Keys and more. X107.3 will be the seventh radio station for the Orlando cluster. |

The Latest On WURB 6-24-14 In Order to get the station on the air, Urban One Broadcasting Network has applied to downgrade their signal from a Class C3 with 25,000 Watts to a Class A with 6,000 Watts. The construction permit expires in July. WURB-FM 97.7 will be based out of Cross City but Urban One Broadcasting plans to relocate to the city of Fort White to offer a better signal in Gainesville. The application, for the move, will be filed after the station is put on the air. |
