Daniel Dennis and Tom Vann Return To Real Radio      7-1-14
Former "Monsters in the Morning" cast members Daniel Dennis and Tom  Vann will be heard beginning July 9 following "The Philips Phile". Tom and Daniel had been podcasting "A Mediocre Time With Tom and Dan" since 2009. The new show, "A Corporate Time With Tom and Dan", will be on the air from 7PM-8PM on Wednesdays with a replay on Saturday mornings at 10AM.

WGRV-FM 93.1 Frequency Deleted      7-1-14   
The FCC has deleted WGRV-FM 93.1 from the database. The Palm Bay licensed station has been off the air since 2013. 

Pavlina Gets To Interview Sean Hannity      7-3-14  
Pavlina Osta, host of "Pavlina’s Kidz Place" heard on WELE-AM 1380, WAPN-FM 91.5 and WAPB-FM 91.7 Saturday mornings at 11:30AM has interviewed Sean Hannity. Hannity gave Pavlina a 15 minute conversation. You can see it here

New Voice Joins WNDB       7-14-14
WNDB-AM 1150's "Morning News" has a new co-anchor.  Michelle Shockley has joined Dave Laing and Al Smith from 7AM-9AM, weekdays.

Terry Long Passes       7-14-14
Terry Long (Terrance Robert Long) who worked at WBJW-FM 105.1 has passed in Beacon NY.  He was 59 years old.

The Power Hour Joins "1080 The Team" Lineup       7-15-14  
Genesis Communications I has announced a new weekly program called "The Power Hour". The show will be a blend of pop culture, sports, and everything in between. The new program airs Monday nights from 6PM-7PM on "1080 The Team" WHOO-AM 1080 in Orlando and 1040 The Team in Tampa. Matt Sardo, SportsTalkFlorida.com Digital Director, hosts the vibrant and off-the-wall show. Assistant Digital Editor Amanda Borges co-hosts.

Rama Communications is selling its five AM stations in Central Florida. WLAA-AM 1600, WOKB-AM 1680, WMEL-AM 1300, WNTF-AM 1580 and WKIQ-AM 1240. Sabatta Persaud, owner of Rama Communications is selling to daughter Shanti Persaud's Unity Broadcasting, LLC for $100 for each station.

Mark Logas Has A Great Line Up Of Guests       7-20-14  
Sitting in for Bud Hedinger, on WFLF-AM 540/102.5 FM, will be Mark Logas. Mark's guests on Thursday, July 24th during the 8 o’clock hour, will be Pavlina Osta the teen who recently scored an interview with Sean Hannity. Cheney Mason will also be joining Mark during the 8 o’clock hour to discuss his upcoming book and in a separate segment the importance of protecting the rights of the criminally accused. On Friday, July 25th Parramore community activist Lawanna Gelzer will join Mark during the 7 o’clock hour. Mat Staver from the Maitland based Liberty Counsel will be on during the 8 o’clock hour to talk about victory in the Justina Pelletier case and will also discuss a new movement to silence religious freedoms and churches known as the “Spiral of Silence”.

James Steele Coming To 101.9 Amp Radio       7-24-14  
James Steele will join the CBS Radio/Orlando cluster as Production Manager and night host at 101.9 Amp Radio (WJHM-FM 101.9).  Steele returns to Florida from WNOH-FM 105.3 in Norfolk, VA.

Orlando Magazine asked their readers to rate the best of Orlando in many categories. The winners in the
Radio Music Station category were; 
#1 WXXL-FM 106.7  #2 WPOZ-FM 88.3  #3 WOMX-FM 105.1.
And in the Local Radio Show category; #1  Johnny’s House on WXXL, #2 The Philips Phile on WTKS-FM 104.1 and #3 A Mediocre Time With Tom and Dan Internet Show (Now heard on WTKS-FM 104.1 on Wed nights.)

Pete Simonson and Peter King will blow out the candles on Wednesday and Rick Padilla celebrates on Thursday. Jack Dyer, better known as
Elvis Gorbechev, turns 69 on Friday. Also on Friday, Russ Wheeler turns 79. 

Changes At "The Talk To Me Station"      7-28-14
Beginning today, Ed Dean returns to the WMEL-AM 1300 microphone weekday evenings from 5PM-7PM. Ed will talk politics from both sides of the isle with local, state and national political news makers. Ed was one of the original Class of 1992 when WMEL Talk Radio signed on the air. Other moves include, Laura Ingraham moves to 11AM Monday thru Friday. Herman Cain moves to 8:00PM Monday thru Friday. And, Clark Howard moves to 9:00PM Monday thru Friday and Leslie Marshall moves to weekends. 

On The Move      7-29-14
Dave Tyler a fixture at WTRS-FM 102.3 for 16 years, has left the station for a position at MusicMaster as a Music Scheduling Consultant.

Rock, Roll and Remember      7-29-14
Easy Oldies 100.9  will begin playing "Dick Clark's Rock, Roll and Remember" beginning Sat, August 9th from 6PM to 10PM.
