Cumulus Shakes Up 95 Rock     12-1-15  
WSJZ-FM 95.9, Melbourne, has let Program Director/Afternoon Drive personality John Boyle go. The company eliminated his position due to budget cuts.
Note; Cumulus Media, Inc. is the second largest owner and operator of AM and FM radio stations in the United States, behind iHeartMedia, Inc., operating 460 stations. Cumulus has been in deep financial difficulty as their stock closed today at $034.5 per share.

Crystal River's WKTK-FM 98.5 has joined WLRQ-FM 99.3, WLOV-FM 99.5, WMGF-FM 107.7 and
WPOZ-FM 88.3 are all playing all Christmas/Holiday tunes.

Britton Jon Passes     12-16-15
Thanks to Mark Tillery for sending along about Britton Jon Rice, known professionally as Britton Jon or simply "BJ" passed away last night/early this morning (12-15-15) from a heart attack and brain aneurysm according to sources. "BJ" had been program director at WKTK-FM 98.5, WKZY-FM 106.9 Gainesville, and later WNDD-FM 95.5 in Ocala. More details as they become available. Logas In For Hedinger     12-20-15
Mark Logas
will be filling in for Bud Hedinger on "Good Morning Orlando" on WFLF-AM 540/102.5-FM. During the 7 o’clock hour on Monday, Mark’s guest will be Debbie Sponsler, with Orange County Utilities, who will discuss the new mandatory garbage and recycling containers for Orange County residents and the decision to go to a once a week  pickup that begins on January 1st. On Tuesday, two experts will share advice on how to stay safe during the Christmas season. While many people will be enjoying the happiness that  the Christmas season brings, some will unfortunately experience the busiest time of year for burglars as well. Orange County Crime Prevention Deputy Corporal Menachem Green joins Mark for tips that you may not have considered to keep you and your property safe. Sadly, this is also the time of year when physical and sexual assaults increase. Lui Damiani, Director of the Victim Service Center, will share contact information on how to reach professionals, if you need them. We’ll also learn what it takes to keep this vital service open to Central Floridians and what you can do to help keep their doors open.  


Line-Up Changes At WDBO    12-20-15
WDBO-FM 96.5 has announced some line-up changes. Dana Loesch and "The Dana Show" moves in at 1PM. Clark Howard moves to 8PM weekdays.  


Jack Nelson Dead At 79      12-20-15
Jack Nelson of Nelson Investment Planning Services whose program "Dollars and Sense" has been on CFLRadio airwaves since 1986, has died.

Thanks to John Knott for letting us know that WOTW-FM 103.1, owned by JVC Media, has dropped the syndicated “America’s Morning Show“ and long time CFLRadio personality Skid has taken mornings and Chad has moved to evenings.
