Orlando Sentinel
Oct 22, 2005
Salem Communications Corp. said Friday that it will acquire Orlando-area radio stations 950 AM (WTLN) and 1520 AM (WHIM), from Alton Rainbow Corp. and TM2 Inc., for about $10 million. The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2006. Last month, Salem announced that it would acquire Orlando station 660 AM (WORL), which will be programmed in a news-talk format. Headquartered in Camarillo, Calif., Salem is a leading broadcaster of Christian and family-themed radio programming.
