Florida Man Debut Delayed By Dorian      9-2-19
The debut of Central Florida's newest radio station "Florida Man Radio",  WDYZ-AM 660/FM 105.5, has been delayed because of hurricane Dorian. The new date is Monday Sep 9.

Morning Show Hosts Join TV Show          9-2-19 
WNUE-FM 98.1 morning hosts Jessica Reyes and Arnaldo Olivieri "JR al Aire" have joined Univision news anchor Luis Artemio Bones for a new local Spanish morning TV newsmagazine “Despierta Orlando” on WVEN-TV.

New Programming For WMFV         9-4-19
WMFV-FM 89.5 had been playing Classical Music will be dropping the current programming to bring NPR programming to the Villages area. New programs will include "The Florida Roundup", "Intersection" and "Travel with Rick Stevens" as well as other NPR programs. WMFV also plans to hire a full-time reporter who live in the Villages area. WMFV is the sister station of Orland's WMFE-FM 90.7

Florida Man Radio Debuts Monday            9-7-19
JVC Media of Florida has confirmed the debut of Florida Man Radio-660 AM/105.5 FM in Orlando on Monday September 9th, 2019 at 2PM.  The debut will include a live on-air press conference beginning at 2pm at the Maitland studios of Florida Man Radio hosted by the on-air staff including long-time Orlando talk legend Shannon Burke, the nationally syndicated Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, radio veteran Scott Ledger, and Attorney Justin Clark.

AJ Maguire Has Left the Building         9-12-19
WWKA-FM 92.3's afternoon voice AJ Maguire has left the station. Melissa, the night host is filling in on an interim basis.

Dallas Reese joins WMMO       9-14-19 
Dallas
Reese, former Program Director for Southern Stone Stations WHOG-FM 95.7 and WKRO-FM 93.1 has become the new night host at WMMO-FM 98.9

Speaker Series Moves To Daytona State College          9-23-19
Marc Bernier of WNDB-AM-1150/93.5 FM brings the Speaker series to The L. Gale Lemerand  Student Center at Daytona State College, 1200 W International Speedway Blvd. on September 30 at 7PM. Marc's guest will be U.S. Representative Michael Waltz. Doors open at 6PM. and the program is free and open to the public.

Movin' On Up        9-23-19
Kaylan Moody has been promoted to Music Director at Alternative WHHZ-FM 100.5.  

SOLD: WLBE        9-26-19
Q Broadcasting Corp. has purchased the silent WLBE-AM 790 in Leesburg. President of Q Broadcasting,  George Arroyo operates Spanish-language radio stations in West Palm Beach, Tampa, and WONQ-AM 1030 in Oviedo. The purchase price is $75,000.

Changes At WLBE         9-30-19  
WLBE-AM 790 has requested a S(pecial) T(emporary A(uthority) to operate non-directionally during nighttime hours from the daytime tower with a reduced power of 0.25 kilowatt.  A sources tell us that WLBE is back with a "Timeless Music" format.
